      1. What physical features have aided the development of the United States?
             Some physical features have aided the development of the United States are plains, regions, freshwater lakes and rivers, etc. They all affect the U.S agriculture. Plains, regions, lakes or rivers are landforms which support the manufacturing which develops the economy, trade, agriculture and industry, etc. Therefore, the U.S become wealthier. And when people are wealthy, they get higher medicare. And when they get higher medicare, people grow healthier. Lakes, rivers and oceans have contributed to trading which is also very important to the economy. During foreign trades, cultures are exchanged. People learn different cultures, different languages and different foods from different countries as well.


      2. What physical features have aided the development of Vietnam?
            Some physical features have aided the development of Vietnam are oceans, delta, rivers, plains, etc. The same as the U.S, bodies of water is very important to Vietnam. They bring about food, resources, economy and trade to Vietnam. All of these elements can also help Vietnam able to wealthier and healthier.                   
               
      3. Similarities and differences
             + Similarities
                   ~ both depend on the water system (rivers, lakes, oceans, etc.)
                   ~ also depend on landforms (plains, regions, landmass, etc.)
                   ~ surrounded by oceans => more efficiency for agriculture
             + Differences
                   ~ the size of the US is bigger than Vietnam

Squatter Settlement

These are two pictures that I took in Binh Thanh district, near My Phuoc apartment. As you see, people who are living in this area obviously are very poor. They all try very hard to earn money to make their life becomes better. But USUALLY, the money that they earn is just enough for them to live through a day. And if they don't, they would be die of hunger.

These people definitely don't have enough money to pay for a house like ours so that they just find a place whether it is good or bad for them, whether is is small o

As you know about the Estero de San Miguel, a slum in the capital Manila, there are 600 meters long for more than 600 families live either side of the river. The cage home of Philippines live is like a dark small tunnel which is less than four feet wide. It is the same as poor people in Viet Nam. They also live in a very very small cage, some of which contain two adults, teenagers and children.

Migriation

Here are some pictures of some shops in district 2, which I think is the place that many foreigners live here. For example:

I just randomly saw him in the Organik grocery store. He was buying onion which he is holding in his mouth.

And this is the Indian's carpets & rugs. I think the owner of this shop migrate to Viet Nam to start his business because she/he can easily attracts guesses. So this is one of the example for pull factor.

Finally, this is the Decosy house furniture store. Do you see the woman with the pink shirt, I think she is choosing furniture for her family and she migrate to Viet Nam maybe of business or her husband. So this is also one of the example for pull factor, too.

My Wonderful Summer

1)

I have a great summer!!! My aunt and uncle's family flew from America to Viet Nam to visit all of my big family. It was very fun!!! We went to Nha Trang and visited the place called "Doc Let". We spent one day and a half there to swim in the pool as at the beach. At Doc Let's beach, I caught a lots of jelly-fish. They didn't have color like what I usually saw on TV or they even didn't look like this:

They looked much different. They were smaller, transparent but didn't have color. They just had kind of a rectangle body. They are every in the beach so it was really easy for me to catch one of them.  When I touched one of those jelly-fish, OMG, it was so soft and so smooth that when I tried to hold it up but it slided down, back to the ocean. I wasn't surrender.  I didn't why, I didn't get itchy, but my cousin did. He scratched everywhere of his body which was going to be red. I caught a lots of jelly-fish. But then, I released them back to their habitat. That was pretty fun!!! Then we went to the swimming pool. We enjoys in Doc Let a lots!!! We stayed at Nha Trang for a weeks then my aunts and uncles all went back to Saigon, left my family at our new house. My family stayed there until the end of June then we went back to our sweet home.

My family also planned to go to Dam Sen with my aunts and uncles' families. I had to say the truth that I didn't went to Dam Sen again when I was four or five years old. So it was really a great day for me and for all my cousins!!! =]] We definitely have a very very great times with my cousins in America.

2)

This year, I hope that social studies will be easier and also be my favorite subject (Because last year, social is very hard for me and I didn't like that subject.) But maybe this year will be different than last year. So, this year, I hope that my social grade will be go up IMMEDIATELY. =]]
